Around the lake of Kerkini and in the mountain massifs of Krousia and Kerkini (Belles) the Black kite (Milvus migrans) arrive in the spring and reproduce. They come mainly from South Africa and because they love the liquid element we often see them flying over the lake. They regularly dive in the water without diving their feet and catching fish (as in the photo).
